Men's Basketball Adds Jayden Mott as Transfer
Central Connecticut State University head men's basketball coach Patrick Sellers has announced Jayden Mott will be joining the program for the 2025-26 season. Mott joins the Blue Devils after transferring from Northern Illinois.
Mott is a 6-foot-8 forward who spent the 2024-25 season at Northern Illinois. A native of Midwest City, OK, Mott appeared in 29 games as a freshman, making six starts. He averaged 11.0 minutes per game and contributed 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, while shooting .583 from the field overall and 3-of-5 (.600) on three-pointers. Mott posted 15 points and 11 rebounds against East West University in a season-high 31 minutes. Mott began his high school career at Carl Albert High School before finishing at Edmond Santa Fe. He averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game at Carl Albert in 2022-23, helping the program to an Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Class 5A state runner-up finish.
"We are very happy to welcome Jayden to the Central Connecticut program," said Sellers "He brings experience at the Division I level and should be able to bolster our frontcourt immediately. We look forward to Jayden joining the Blue Devils and contributing to our continued success."
