Swiimming & Diving Tabbed As NEC Favorite
Blue Devils have won back-to-back NEC Championships
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team is the consensus pick to complete the three-peat as Northeast Conference Champions. The Blue Devils received six first-place votes in the preseason poll of NEC head coaches that was announced Wednesday by the conference office.
The Blue Devils have won a record eight NEC Championships, including each of the past two championships.
Howard was tabbed as the Blue Devils top competition, followed by Wagner, who finished as runner-ups in 2024, as the coaches pick for third place. Saint Francis U was tabbed fourth, followed by LIU, Stonehill and Le Moyne.
CCSU begins the 2024-25 campaign on October 4th, travelling to West Point, NY for a double dual meet with Army and Vermont. The Blue Devils home opener is a two-day event versus New Hampshire, October 25-26th.
The 2025 NEC Championship is scheduled for February 19-22. The event will once again be held at Spire Academy in Geneva, OH.
