Maziarz Named NEC Diver Of The Week
She, Keane and Milhomens were all named NEC Prime Performer.
Central Connecticut State junior Jewelle Maziarz was named the Northeast Conference Diver of the Week on Wednesday. She was joined as an NEC Prime Performer by Abbey Keane and Sophie Milhomens.
Maziarz won the 1-meter board in the Blue Devils double dual with Southern Connecticut State and Wagner, as she scored 221.05 points. The week prior, she placed second on the 1-meter board in a dual with New Hampshire, tallying 237.98 points in that event. She also placed fifth on the 3-meter board versus UNH, scoring 224.40.
Keane won the 1,000 freestyle against UNH, going a time of 10:34.87 to help her earn prime performer accolades. Milhomens won the 100 backstroke versus UNH, with a swim of 59.20 and missed out on the top spot in the 200 backstroke by .10 seconds.
The Blue Devils host Friday Night Sprints on Friday, November 8th. SCSU and St. Joseph's will attend the event at Suydam Natatorium.
