Ausanio Cards 79 in Spring Opener

In her first round of the spring, senior Anna Ausanio wrote in a 79 to lead the team.

The Central Connecticut women's golf team opened up their 2013 spring season on Monday at the Valparaiso Crusader Invitational. The par-72 course at Champions Gate Golf Club in Orlando, FL will be the host site of the two-round event.

Senior Anna Ausanio led her team writing in a 79 after her first round of the season. Following Ausanio on the board was freshman Sarah Boden with an 81 and senior Katie Reid with an 87.

Sophomore Albrianna Farnum finished her first round with an 87 and junior Gina Grant scored a 101.

The event will be two-rounds, with the first round concluding on Monday. The second round will be played on Tuesday, March 5th and will be the final round.
