Volleyball Forces Fifth Set Before Falling to Saint Francis U
The Central Connecticut volleyball forced the match to five sets before falling to Saint Francis U, 3-2, on Saturday. The match featured 43 tied scores and 20 lead changes.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU would trail, 16-10, midway through the opening set. The Blue Devils would eventually climb back with a 7-2 run to tie the set at 24-24 following a SFU error. However, the Red Flash responded by scoring back-to-back to take the set.
- An early 4-0 run, sparked by consecutive kills by Aubrey Stitcher, gave Central a 7-3 lead in the second set. SFU would go ahead 19-17 late in the set, but the Blue Devils got a pair of aces from Anja Milosevic and a block by Breanna Ginley and Weronika Poczynek in a four-point run to go ahead, 23-21. The Blue Devils tied the match on a kill by Olivia Keckler.
- Central led early in the third set and were in front, 16-15, midway through the frame. SFU would swing the momentum and take the set with three straight points to go up, 2-1, in the match.
- CCSU held the lead for much of the fourth set to keep the match going. A kill by Keckler would give Central a 12-9 lead before extending the margin to 18-14 after a pair of SFU errors. The Blue Devils would extend the match following a kill by Victoria Sanabria.
- Central raced out to an early 4-1 lead after a Poczynek kill in the fifth frame, but the Red Flash rallied to make it 5-5. SFU would score four straight and built a 12-9 lead. CCSU would fend off a pair of match points before the Red Flash won on an error.

- CCSU is 29-18 all-time against SFU. The Red Flash have won the past eight matchups.
