Women's Cross Country Chosen as NEC Favorite
The Central Connecticut State women's cross country team was tabbed to defened its title in the preseason poll of NEC head coaches, announced Monday by the conference office.
CCSU collected seven first-place votes, and was followed by Stonehill and Wagner tied for second and Saint Francis U at the top of the poll. Wagner collected two first-place votes, while SFU earned one. The Blue Devils have won six of the past seven league titles and is tied for the most in league annals with eight championships.
Saint Francis U will host the 2025 edition of the NEC Men's Cross Country Championships on November 1 at B & D Acres Farm in Tyrone, PA. All 10 NEC institutions are eligible to participate in the championship
The 2025 campaign begins on August 30 at the Father Bede Invitational in Tyrone, PA. The Blue Devils will host the Ted Owen Invitational on September 20 and the CCSU Mini Meet on October 24. Both events will be run at Stanley Quarter Park
