Baseball Drops Doubleheader at Le Moyne
The Central Connecticut baseball team dropped both games of a Northeast Conference doubleheader at Le Moyne on Thursday afternoon in Syracuse, NY. The Blue Devils were run-ruled in the opener, before the Dolphins rallied and held on for a win in game two.

KEY MOMENTS
- Brady Short led off the game with a single and then stole second base. He moved to third on another single before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Chris Brown to make it 1-0.
- Tim Denet led off the Le Moyne second with a homerun to spark a three-run inning. A pair of singles put two runners on with two outs. Paulie Goodness delivered a triple down the right field line to drive in two runs and make it 3-1.
- Aidan Redahan tied the game with a two-run homerun in the top of the third.
- In the bottom of the third, Cooper Romich singled in a run to make it 4-3 before Wyatt Patchett followed with a three-run homerun to make it a four-run ballgame.
- Central cut the lead in have in the fifth inning. Matt Falk hit a double to lead off the inning and with one out, Jackson Haker hit a homerun to left field to make it 7-5.
- Patchett hit his second homer of the afternoon to lead off the sixth inning and make it 8-5. A walk was followed by two outs and a hit batter to extend the inning. KEY MOMENTS
- Short drew a lead off walk and moved to third on a double by Haker. Chris Brown would drive in the opening run on a groundout.
- Le Moyne tied the game in the second inning. Adam Sullivan led off with a single and scooted to third on a wild pitch and a single. Farina would hit a sac fly to right field to drive him in and make it 1-1.
- The teams traded runs in the third inning. Haker led off the CCSU third with a homerun to left-center. Le Moyne came back in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single by Goodness to make it 2-2.
- A pair of walks in the fourth put two runners on for CCSU and Brown singled to centerfield to drive in a run and make it 3-2.
- In the fifth, Colby Brouillette got a two-out walk and scored after Kyle Gordon followed with his first homer of the season to make it 5-2.
- Le Moyne opened the bottom of the fifth with back-to-back singles and then Jack Cannon hit a three-run homer to tie the game. Following a pitching change with two runners on, Denet tripled to drive in two runs. Cooper Romich would single to drive in a run and make it 8-5.
- Redahan hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth before Benji Ries answered with a solo shot in the bottom of the inning.
- In the top of the seventh inning, Brouillette doubled ahead of Gordon hitting his second homer of the game to make it a one-run game.
- Jacob Crystal came on for Le Moyne and after putting runners on first and second in the ninth, he got a fly ball to end the game.
NOTES
- Haker finished with four hits, three runs and three RBIs on the day.
- Redahan collected four hits on the afternoon.
- Gordon was 3-for-4, while Brouillette was 2-for-3 in game two.
- Gordon became the first Blue Devil with two home runs in a game since Joe Rios on March 29, 2024.
- The teams combined for 13 home runs in the two games.
- CCSU and Le Moyne were meeting for the first time.
- The Blue Devils have collected 10+ hit as a team in 32 games this season.
