Maziarz Earns Second Consecutive Diver Of The Week Honor
Jewelle Maziarz is once again the NEC Diver of the Week, her second week in a row taking home the accolade.
Central Connecticut State senior Jewelle Maziarz has been named the NEC Diver of the Week for the second time this season. She is joined as an NEC Prime Performer by Sophie Milhomens.
Maziarz placed second on both boards for the Blue Devils at a dual meet with the University of New Hampshire this weekend. She tallied 251.70 points on the 1meter board, a season-best point total. Then on the 3-meter board she tallied 231.15 points, just shy of a season-best tally.
Milhomens earned Prime Performer recognition after winning the 200-yard backstroke, 2:05.24, the second-best time in the league this season. She also posted season-best times in the 200 free (1:59.31) and 500 free (5:16.29).
The Blue Devils are back in the pool on Friday, October 31st when they take part in a double-dual with Southern Connecticut State and Wagner. The meet will be hosted by the Owls in New Haven, CT.
