Swimming Finishes Second Day Of NIC Competition
Blue Devils have 15 points with one day remaining
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team finished the second day of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship on Friday. CCSU has 15 points through two days of the meet.
Addison Kenney was the lone individual swimmer for the Blue Devils, going 56.30 in the 100-backstroke.
The Blue Devils also swam the 800-freestyle relay on Friday, finishing in 7:34.30, placing 27th. Grace M. Young led off the relay with a swim of 1:53.90 and was followed by Sophie Milhomens who split 1:52.99. Kenney swam the third leg in 1:54.04 and Maggie Rutledge swam the anchor leg in a time of 1:54.18.
The Blue Devils are back in action on Saturday morning for the final day of competition. Kenney and Milhomens will both compete in the 200-backstroke, while Grace Young will swim the 200-breaststroke and Rutledge will swim the 1,650/1,000 freestyle.
