Maziarz Named Diver Of The Week
Maziarz honored for fourth time
Central Connecticut State senior Jewelle Maziarz was named the NEC Diver of the Week on Wednesday following her efforts in the Blue Devils dual meet win over Sacred Heart. She was joined as an NEC Prime Performer by Maggie Rutledge.
Maziarz earned her fourth NEC Diver of the Week accolade. She placed third on both boards versus the Pioneers. She scored 278.33 points on the 3-meter board and put up 260.93 points on the 1-meter.
Rutledge was a prime performer thanks in part to her dropping the top 1,650 time in the NEC this season, winning the event in 17:43.21
The Blue Devils finish out the dual meet portion of their schedule on Saturday, traveling to URI. That meet is set to begin at 2:00 pm.
