Carroll Named NEC Diver Of The Week
Maziarz joined her as a prime performer
Central Connecticut State junior Kaitlyn Carroll was named the NEC Diver of the Week on Wednesday for her efforts at the ECAC Winter Classic. She was joined by her teammate Jewelle Maziarz as an NEC Prime Performer.
Carroll closed the meet with a fourth-place finish on the 3-meter board. After qualifying seventh in preliminaries, she scored 243.65 points in finals to move up the standings. Carroll scored 235.30 points in finals on the 1-meter board on Friday, to capture sixth place in the event.
Maziarz finished fourth on 1-meter, 248.80 points, and sixth on the 3-meter with 237.75 points.
The CCSU Swimming and Diving team will compete at the CSCAA Open Water National Championship this Saturday and will return to dual meet action in January.
