KEY MOMENTS

- The Pride added three more runs in the top of the fourth to extended their lead to 7-1, but the Blue Devils would cut that lead down to two at 7-5 in the bottom of the frame, as they scored four runs on a two-run homer by Sophia LoPiccolo, her third home run of 2026, a wild pitch and a bases-loaded walk to Grace Lawton.
- Hofstra would add a run in the top of fifth to lead 8-5, but again Central would battle back in the bottom of the inning, this time to tie the score at 8-8, as Ashlyn Desaulniers had an RBI-double and Lawton had a two-RBI single, to give her three runs batted in on the day.
- The game stayed deadlocked at 8-8 until the top of the seventh when the visitors took a 9-8 lead to set up Stella Gasper's walkoff heroics.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Desaulniers led off with a single, but the next two Blue Devils were retired. Lawton would then single to keep CCSU alive and set up Gasper, who lined the game-winning double to the left-center gap scoring Desaulniers and pinch runner Kendra Grove and giving the hosts a thrilling, comeback victory.
- Liz Hamilton earned her seventh win of the year in the circle in game two with two innings of relief work.
- As a team, CCSU had a total of nine hits in the nightcap led by three off the bat of Desaulniers and two from Grace Lawton.
