Women's Basketball Adds Six For 2024-25 Campaign
The Blue Devils announced the addition of six newcomers for the year ahead.
Central Connecticut State head women's basketball coach Kristin Caruso announced the addition of six student-athletes to the program for the 2025-26 season. Reyda Ayva (Ankara, Turkey/Ankara College), Kiyah Lewis (Fredericksburg, VA/James Monroe HS), Nicora Patrick ( Atlanta, GA/Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy) Christa Ramos (Neptune, NJ/Neptune HS), Jah'Nae Stevens (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham HS), and Mathilda Toure (Stockholm, Sweden/The Storm King School-NY) will join the Blue Devils for the upcoming campaign.
"I'm thrilled to welcome this group as Blue Devils," said Caruso. "These seven student-athletes bring exceptional talent that will elevate our program as we continue to rise. More importantly, they are high-character individuals who reflect the values we're building our program around."
NEWCOMER PROFILES
We're excited to welcome Reyda to the CCSU Women's Basketball program! A 5'9" guard from Ankara, Turkey, Reyda brings international experience from the Turkish national team, along with a high basketball IQ, toughness, and a scorer's mentality. She developed her game with TED Kolejliler, earning a reputation for sharp shooting and leadership.
We're proud to welcome Kiyah to the CCSU Women's Basketball program! A standout from James Monroe High School in Virginia, Kiyah brings a competitive edge and proven leadership to our team. She was named First Team All-District and District Player of the Year, and she's a 1,000-point scorer who led her team to the state championship game. While she's still deciding on a major, she's exploring both business and exercise science as she begins her academic journey at CCSU.
We're excited to welcome Nicora to the CCSU Women's Basketball family! Standing at 5'11", Nicora brings a strong work ethic, high basketball IQ, and a winning mentality to our team. A standout from Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy in Atlanta, Georgia she averaged an impressive 23.7 points per game and was named Region Player of the Year. This fall, she'll begin her academic journey as a psychology major—balancing excellence on the court and in the classroom.
We're thrilled to welcome freshman guard Christa to the CCSU Women's Basketball program! Hailing from Neptune, New Jersey, Christa brings a dynamic blend of dedication, skill, and high basketball IQ to the court. At 5'6", she's known for her sharp court vision and clutch shooting. Christa will bring depth to the point guard position. She will be pursuing a major in Criminology—balancing academic excellence with athletic commitment.
Jah'Nae Stevens
We're excited to welcome Jah'Nae, a 6'0" power forward from Syracuse, NY, to the CCSU Women's Basketball program! Jah'Nae brings strength, skill, and a commanding presence in the post. Fundamentally sound with tremendous potential, she's poised to make an immediate impact—especially on the boards. This fall, Jah'Nae will begin her academic journey as a Communications major, combining her passion for basketball with a commitment to personal growth.
We're excited to welcome Mathi to the CCSU Women's Basketball program! At 6'2", Mathi brings valuable height and a strong post presence to our frontcourt. With her ability to block shots and play both the power forward and center positions, she adds versatility and strength in the paint. This fall, Mathi will begin her academic journey as a business major, combining her athletic talent with a focus on future success.
