Farrell Scores Career-High 17 At St. John's
Sophomore also had a season-high seven rebounds
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team dropped a non-conference road game, 71-46 at St. John's on Monday evening.
Jessica Farrell led the Blue Devils with a career-high 17 points and season-best seven rebounds.

- The Red Storm scored first and led by as many as seven in the opening period, 17-10, at the 3:14 mark. Farrell scored a driving layup on the next possession, starting an 8-0 Blue Devil run, that put the Blue Devils in front 18-17 with 74 seconds remaining. The Red Storm scored the final eight points of the quarter to build a 25-18 advantage.
- The Blue Devils scored the first seven points of the second quarter, rallying back to tie the game, 25-25, on a Kiyah Lweis three-pointer 2:35 into the period. The margin was never more than four the rest of the period, as the Blue Devils drew back event, 31-31 on a Farrell driving layup with 89 seconds to play, before a Beautiful Waheed free throw gave St. John's the 32-31 halftime advantage.
- The Red Storm opened the second half with 20 unanswered points to take a 52-31 advantage. Lewis hit a free throw for the Blue Devils with 2:25 to play in the quarter and that was followed by a Farrell conventional three-point play and a Lucia Noin turnaround jumper with 36 seconds left as CCSU closed the period on a 6-0 run.
