Lewis Scores 21 In Thursday Night Contest At Stonehill
Blue Devils dropped the NEC contest 71-53
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team dropped a 71-53 road NEC game at Stonehill Thursday night. The Blue Devils had three players in double figures in the contest.
Kiyah Lewis led the Blue Devils with 21 points, while Jessica Farrell added 11 points and Lucia Noin scored 10.

Lewis scored the Blue Devils first possession, starting off a back-and-forth opening period for the two squads that saw five lead changes and eight ties. The Skyhawks twice led by three during the period, with an 11-8 advantage on a Brooke Paquette driving layup with 4:37 to play in the quarter. Lewis scored the next four points of the game to put the Blue Devils on top 12-11 with 2:55 to play. The teams played to an 18-18 first quarter tie as Farrell scored with 67 seconds left and Julia Webster tied the game with 59 seconds left.

The Blue Devils started the scoring again in the second-quarter, with a jumper from Ilektra Lykaki, before seven unanswered points from the Skyhawks in a 1:41 span to build a 25-20 advantage.

A Lucia Noin basket ended the Skyhawks run at 6:50 and Farrell drained a three-pointer to knot the score, 25-25, at the 6:07 mark. Stonehill rolled out its own 5-0 run to get back to a 32-27 lead on a Paquette triple with 527 to play before halftime. Stonehill outscored Central 6-4 the rest of the half to take a 38-31 lead into the break

A basket from Noin and five-straight from Lewis drew the Blue Devils even, 38-38, 95 seconds into the second half. Ella Pelletier drained a three for the Skyhawks at the 7:30 mark to end the CCSU run and start a push that extended Stonehill to a 50-42 advantage at the 3:05 mark of the quarter.

Stonehill scored a minute into the final period, a Emma Arca jumper, to make the first double-digit lead, 54-44, of the contest. The Skyhawks would lead by as many as 20 points in the final period.
