Women's Basketball Falls to First-Place FDU on Saturday
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to FDU, 77-36, in NEC action on Saturday at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils did not lead on the day.
Mathilda Toure led the Blue Devils with a career-high 13 points, while Lucia Noin added 12 points

KEY MOMENTS
- Lucia Noin would hit a jump shot on the Blue Devils' opening possession to make it a one-point game before the Knights would respond with 12 unanswered points. CCSU was scoreless for nearly five minutes until Nicora Patrick hit a pair of foul shots to make it 15-4 at the 4:16 mark.
- FDU would follow with five unanswered points and, after the opening possession, forced CCSU into 10 straight missed field goals. Rebecca Osei-Owusu scored a layup just before the buzzer and led, 22-5, after the opening quarter.
- Noin would end the Central field goal drought with a short jumper in the paint at the 8:38 mark of the second period. The Blue Devils would go scoreless until back-to-back field goals by Noin with 3:19 left in the half gave CCSU four unanswered points. Mathilda Toure would convert a three-point play with 1:12 to go in the period before FDU made it 39-14 at the intermission.
