Lewis Takes Home Third Straight Rookie Of The Week Honor
Lewis averaged 26.3 points a game over the final four contests of the season
For the third consecutive week Central Connecticut freshman Kiyah Lewis has taken home the Influxor NEC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week award. She was joined as an NEC Prime Performer by senior Lucia Noin.
In the final game of the campaign on Thursday, Lewis tallied 23 points, her fourth consecutive game over 21 points, to end the season. In the win over New Haven, she added eight rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Lewis averaged 26.3 points per game over the last four games of the season, raising her season scoring average to a team-leading 13.8 points per game. That scoring average finished the regular season fourth in the NEC. Lewis had her first career double-double during the stretch, scoring 36 points to go along with 11 rebounds, both career-highs at Saint Francis last Saturday.
Noin scored a game-high 24 points in her collegiate finale on Thursday night. She added seven boards and four assists in the Blue Devils victory. Noin scored 13.5 points per game this season, fifth in the NEC.
