Volleyball Stopped by Binghamton on Friday
Central Connecticut volleyball fell to Binghamton, 3-0, on Friday at the Stags Invitational in Fairfield, CT. Weronika Poczynek led CCSU with eight kills.
Central plays Boston College on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Stags Invitational.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Bearcats scored seven straight points and built a 9-1 lead in the opening set. After a kill by Louise Lion and an ace by Olivia Keckler the Blue Devils cut the deficit to seven points, but that was as close as they were able to get in the first frame.
- A kill by Lauren Milani would get CCSU within, 8-6, in the second set before Binghamton scored six unanswered points. Central would score four straight to get within a point. Keckler had back-to-back kills and a kill by Poczynek would make it 19-18. Binghamton would close the frame by outscoring CCSU, 5-2.
- Binghamton scored the first five points of the third set and would not trail in the frame. After back-to-back kills by Milani and Keckler, Binghamton would score three straight to close the match.

6 – Keckler matched a career-high with six kills and had a personal-best two aces in the match.

- The teams have split the past six meetings, with the Blue Devils dropping three straight to the Bearcats.
- Poczynek added five digs in the match and had an assist.
