Volleyball Falls to Saint Francis U in Four
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell at Saint Francis U, 3-1, on Saturday in Northeast Conference action in Loretto, PA. Weronika Poczynek had a team-high nine kills for CCSU.
The Blue Devils return to New Britain next weekend to host FDU on Friday and Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils held an early 3-2 lead in the opening set following a kill by Lauren Milani before SFU came back with six unanswered points. A kill by Weronika Poczynek would end the run, but the Red Flash would build a 21-9 lead enroute to taking the first set.
- Central would take its largest lead of the set after a kill by Poczynek and an SFU error made it 13-10. The teams would go back-and-forth until CCSU scored three straight to close the set. A block by Poczynek and Kaylin Hadley was followed by consecutive SFU errors to tie the match at 1-1.
- Saint Francis scored the first three points of the third set and would push its lead to 9-4. Central would get within a point before SFU pushed its lead back to 16-11. A kill by Hadley would get CCSU within 17-14, but that was as close as they would get in the set.
- The fourth set began with the Red Flash building a 5-1 lead with a kill by Poczynek accounting for the Central point. A kill by Amanda Tokam and an SFU error would get Central within, 9-4, before the Red Flash scored five straight points. A kill by Miliani was followed by a block from Hadley and Keckler before SFU closed out the match.

0 – The Blue Devils did not commit a set error in the match. Kylee had 86 attempts in the match without a error committed.
