Volleyball Drops Weekend Opener at Saint Francis U
The Central Connecticut volleyball team lost at Saint Francis U, 3-0, on Friday in Northeast Conference action in Loretto, PA. Five Blue Devils notched at least one kill in the match..

KEY MOMENTS
- The Red Flash built a 4-1 lead in the opening set before Central rallied with a 3-1 run to get within a point in the early-going. Kaylin Hadley and Louise Lion combined for a block, before Lauren Milani had a solo block followed by a kill from Olivia Keckler to tie the set at 10-10. The teams didn't exchange the lead, but after CCSU got within 14-13, SFU would take control with five straight points. The Red Flash closed the set with three straight points.
- A kill by Keckler opened the second set before SFU responded with four straight points. The margin expanded to 10-3 before CCSU managed to get back within, 12-9, after a kill by Milani. The Red Flash went ahead 2-0 in the match by closing the set out with six straight points.
- SFU opened the third set by scoring five points before a kill by Amanda Tokam ended the run. The Red Flash came back with four straight points to go ahead, 9-1. Kylee Baranski would serve up a pair of aces in helping Central claw back to within, 12-9. SFU would score four consecutive points and forced a CCSU timeout at 17-10, but the Blue Devils could not get closer than five points the rest of the way.
