Volleyball Tripped Up By Stonehill on Saturday
The Central Connecticut volleyball team lost to Stonehill, 3-0, on Saturday in Northeast Conference action at Detrick Gymnasium. CCSU recognized its senior class of Isabella Bratzke, Kaylin Hadley, Louise Lion, Madison Massaro-Cook, Lauren Milani and Alexis Neider before the match.
The Blue Devils travel to LIU for a pair of matches to close the regular season next weekend.

- Stonehill would open the match by scoring the first four points and led 10-4 in the early going. CCSU would cut the deficit to 15-13 following an ace by Neider, but the Skyhawks pushed their cushion back to six points. A kill by Olivia Keckler would make it 19-17, but Central was unable to get closer before Stonehill closed the set with consecutive aces.
- In the second set, CCSU would take the lead after a kill by Milani, but Stonehill would score five straight to take the lead back and led 13-7 to force a Blue Devils timeout. CCSU would have a kill from Keckler and an ace by Massaro-Cook as part of a three-point run to make it 19-13, but Stonehill would outscore CCSU, 6-2, down the stretch.
- The Skyhawks scored nine straight points to open the third set, before Central came back with six straight points following a kill by Weronika Poczynek. Central cut the deficit to 14-9 before the Skyhawks built their largest margin at 20-10. After an ace by Annabelle Denomme, Stonehill would close the match with back-to-back points.
