Baseball Downs UMES on Sunday
The Central Connecticut State baseball team took Saturday's NEC contest against UMES, 6-1, in New Britain, CT. Antonio Ducatelli had four hits, while Kyle Salvati allowed one run over 4.1 innings and Bryce DiPiero tossed 4.2 innings of shutout relief.

KEY MOMENTS
- UMES got an RBI-single from Jonathan Gonzalez in the top of the first to go ahead, 1-0.
- In the Blue Devils' first at bat, Louis Jordan doubled home Ducatelli and Matt Graziose hit an RBI-groundout to make it 2-1.
- The Hawks loaded the bases in the fifth inning with one out DiPiero would come on and get a strikeout and a groundout to preserve the lead and keep the one-run lead.
- In the bottom of the inning, CCSU had four striaght singles to open the inning. Ducatelli and Ferrentino each drove in a run to make it 4-1.
- Ducatelli would single home runs in the sixth and eighth innings to push the lead to 6-1.
NOTES
- Ducatelli finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs.
- Jordan added two hits and a walk.
- Central had 10 hits as a team, just one for extra bases.
- Salvati worked around four hits and four walks to earn the win. He had three punchouts.
- DiPiero allowed just two hits and struck out a pair.
- CCSU has won 11 straight matchups in the series and is 31-0-1 all-time.
