Baseball Wins in 12 innings at Stonehill
The Central Connecticut State baseball team outlasted Stonehill in 12 innings, coming away with a 11-10 win in NEC action on Saturday in Easton, MA. Antonio Ducatelli had three hits and four RBIs in the game, while Richie Kerstetter tossed 7.0 innings in relief to earn the win on the bump.

KEY MOMENTS
- For the second straight game, Stonehill would get on the scoreboard first. The Skyhawks had three straight batters reach base with one out in the second inning, before a passed ball scored the first run. An RBI-groundout by Nick Lundquist would make it 2-0.
- CCSU responded with four runs in the top of the third inning. The first four hitters in the inning reached safely and an error would allow Gabe Tanous to make it 2-1. Back-to-back RBI-groundouts by Ducatelli and Danny Witters plated two more runs before Nick Fox singled home a run to make it 4-2.
- In the bottom of the frame, Stonehill would tie the game with two runs. With no outs and two on, Nathan Kearney singled in a pair to tie it 4-4.
- The Blue Devils got two runs in the fifth inning on a Ducatelli single and a groundout by Witters to make it 6-4. A single by Gianno Merlonghi in the sixth scored a run to push the lead to three runs.
- Stonehill would tie the game again in the bottom of the sixth with three runs. A bases loaded walk forced in the first run before a Ryan LeClair single scored two more runs to tie it, 7-7.
- The teams traded three-run at-bats in the eighth inning. In the top of the frame, CCSU would load the bases with two outs. Louis Jordan walked to bring in a run and Ducatelli singled to bring home a pair and make it 10-7. In the bottom of the inning, Stonehill hit three two-out singles to bring home the game-tying runs.
- CCSU was unable to take advantage of a bases-loaded, one-out situation in the ninth but would get redemption in the 12th inning. Jordan reached on an error to lead off and moved to second on a Ducatelli single. Witters would try to move the runners with a bunt but was safe at first and scored Jordan for the winning run.
- Stonehill put a pair of runners on the bottom of the inning, but Kerstetter got a fly ball to end the game.
